A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to our celebration of John’s life and legacy at Bradford Cathedral last Saturday (9th May 2026) – the room was full of love, warmth and support throughout the afternoon and it was such a privilege to celebrate our friend and founder with you all.
Special thanks to:
Bradford Cathedral – especially Ned, Maggie and Dave, who hosted us and the event so beautifully. John loved the Cathedral and its people.
Bishop Toby Howarth – for taking part in the event and embracing the Zephaniah style, we’d give you a job any time.
Cath, David, Alex, Ruth and Andrew – for playing in the band. You not only brought John’s songs to us, they sounded beautiful.
Alex – speaking of sound, huge thanks to you for all the effort you put in to making it sound tremendous. We appreciate you!
Daryll, Amy, Adam and Julia – Each of your tributes worked perfectly, both separately and as a whole. You’re all legends.
Hazel – for baking up a storm and producing customised John Froud biscuits, you always come up with the goods.
Molly, Kayleigh and Thea – for volunteering, helping to carry heavy things, and reading so beautifully.
Mark and Rob – for transporting vital things and operating the laptop.
Our Trustees – for overseeing the practicalities so we could concentrate on other things.
Most of all a huge thank you to everyone who came along or has watched online – we are so glad to have you all as part of the Zeph Community.
