Looking to build links with your local schools? We have 24 years experience of Christian work with schools and can provide advice, training and partnership working where appropriate to support you. Read on for info on training, visit our pages on the Bible Times Exhibition and Re:winds for partnership projects linking schools and churches, or contact us to make an enquiry.

Speaking and Preaching

It’s always nice to be invited to share our work with others – members of our team can speak or preach at events or services on a variety of topics. Please contact us to find out more.

‘Sparks of Hope’ storytelling performance at St Peter’s Shipley

John and Julie can be booked either together or separately to perform music and storytelling suitable for a range of audiences and events, from praise parties for children to concert material for grown ups – storytelling isn’t just for kids! We may also be able to provide support with children’s/family events, community fun days, outreach events and more, either individually or as a team. Please contact us for details or to discuss costs.

Training and Workshops

We can provide training in children’s work (both practical aspects and theological foundations) and schools work (drawing on our experience of working within the world of education and our understanding of the pressures in schools), as well as workshops in worship leading, storytelling, songwriting, poetry, arts and crafts, and drama. As a highly trained adoptive parent, Julie can also provide training and techniques for working with vulnerable children. Get in touch if you’d like to know more!

Diamond Churches

Would you like to become one of our Diamond Churches? We receive no statutory funding for our work and everything we do is reliant on the generosity of individuals and organisations who are supportive of our aim to take God’s light into dark corners. Some churches decide to support our work through a regular, often annual, donation. If you’re interested in finding out more about how to become a Diamond Church, contact Jenny in the office.
